Race day - from 9am, Saturday 1 September 2012!

Join us for the biggest family road-race experience in the country as the Bank of Scotland Junior Great Scottish Run comes to Glasgow with 2 fantastic new races! Be part of a great day of sport and excitement with music, entertainment and sporting activities for the whole family.

Brand new races & location

The 2012 event will feature Junior 3k and Junior Mile events for 9-17 year olds plus a brand new Family Mile for all ages and Scotland's first 50m Toddler Dash! Click here to find out more and to register for race day. 2012 will also see all 4 Saturday races move in to George Square allowing everyone to share in the thrills and atmosphere of the traditional start of the Half marathon and 10k races.

Be part of it!

Each race will take place in and around the Square on closed roads that create a safe environment for all participants. Sample the atmosphere and excitment of streets lined with cheering spectators, lots of live entertainment and music, and sports for entrants and family to try. Entrants to the Junior 3k or Junior Mile with Young Scot, KidzCard, junior jogscotland or Scottish Athletics membership can look for to half price entry!

Schools and clubs/community groups entering youth members in our Junior 3k or Junior Mile events have the chance to win £500 worth of sports vouchers to spend on kit for their school or group.
