Terms and Conditions of Entry

It is important to read these Terms & Conditions before completing and signing your entry form.

By entering the Event, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions of Entry and any instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the Event

Please submit your entry to us no later than Friday 20th August 2010. This ensures you will receive your race pack on time. If you enter after this date you must collect your race pack in person (date and venue for race pack collection will be advised by letter or e-mail and on the race website).

2. How to enter

Please note entry fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and nor can it be deferred to a future date.

Carefully complete ALL sections of the entry form.

Please ensure you include the address you wish all mailings to be sent including your race pack.

We will acknowledge your entry within 10 days of the receipt date.

You will receive your race pack approximately 10 days before the race.

Please notify us of any change of address as soon as possible by telephoning the race hotline on 0845 270 0166.

Minimum ages on the day of the races: 15 years or over on day of race for 10k. 17 years or over on day of race for half marathon.

3. Wheelchair entrants

Wheelchair racers will be allocated a position if we are advised – all wheelchair entrants should check the appropriate box on the entry form/system. For reasons of safety, no entries please from people on roller skates, roller blades, in beds, wheelbarrows, pushchairs, carrying various objects for charity etc.

4. Team Entries

Family Team: At team of 4 or more members of the same family (siblings, parents, aunts/uncles etc or those related through marriage). The first 4 to cross the line will qualify towards the prize. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each race – 1 trophy per team.

SAL affiliated Team: A club team which can comprise any number of entrants but only the first 4 to cross the line will qualify towards the prize. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each race – 1 trophy per team.

Corporate Team: A team of work colleagues, running for fun or charity. The first 4 to cross the line will qualify towards the prize. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each race – 1 trophy per team.

5. Health

By entering the Event, you are declaring that you are medically fit to run and participate in the Event.

6. Disclaimer

All participants in the Event must have reached the minimum age requirements as stated above before or on the date of the Event and must satisfy themselves that they are fit to participate. Participants must not take part in the Event if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. To the extent permitted by law, Culture and Sport Glasgow does not accept liability for any direct, indirect or incidental or consequential loss or damage, claim or expense which may arise as a result of the participant taking part in this Event or as a result of the postponement or cancellation of this Event. To the extent permitted by law, Culture and Sport Glasgow's liability for loss or damage, claim or expense proven to have arisen as a direct result of the negligence of Culture and Sport Glasgow shall not extend to any loss of profits or other economic or consequential loss.

Glasgow Life and Glasgow Events (found at www.glasgowlife.org.uk) are operating names of Culture and Sport Glasgow (CSG). CSG is a company limited by guarantee, registered in Scotland with company number SC313851 and having its registered office at 20 Trongate Glasgow G1 5ES. CSG is registered as a charity with the office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (No SCO37844).

Culture and Sport Glasgow delivers cultural and leisure services on behalf of Glasgow City Council. Culture and Sport Glasgow comply with the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 and you have the right to exercise control over the use of your personal information collected by Culture and Sport Glasgow in conjunction with the Event by checking the appropriate boxes on the entry form/system.
The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run incorporates an international road race, in association with Glasgow City Council. The race is held under ukathletics and SAL rules.
