Here are the answers to a series of commonly asked questions regarding your entry and about the day of the event.
When is the race and where does it take place?
The 2010 Great Scottish Run Half marathon and 10K races will both take place on 5th September 2010. Both races will start from George Square in Glasgow city-centre. 10k start time - 9.30am. Half marathon start time - 10.30am

How much does it cost to enter?
Below is a table of entry fees for online entry for the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 2010
Standard rate online prices start on 26th June 2010 and are valid until entries close on 20th August 2010:
Half-marathon: £29.00
10K: £24.00
Please note: Scottish Athletics members will receive a £2 discount on all entry rates.
What is the closing date for entries?
Please note ALL entries must be received no later than 20th August 2010.
Combined Women's 10k and Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run entries must be received no later than 30th April 2010.
What do I get for my fee?
All entrants will receive a souvenir t-shirt. This will be posted to you approximately 10 days prior to the race in your race pack.
All race finishers will also receive a commemorative medal and a race certificate with their race time and finish position on it.
Time and finish position will be recorded by ChampionChip; a device you will receive in your race pack. It should be secured to your shoe as you will need to cross both the start and the finish line in order for your time to be recorded by it.
Without your ChampionChip your time will not be recorded meaning you will not receive your race certificate so make sure you don’t forget it!
Race certificates will be mailed out within 6 weeks of the event.
Is there any age limit on entry?
The minimum age for the 10k is 15 years or over on the day of the race and the minimum age for the half marathon is 17 years or over on the day of the race.
How can I enter?
You can currently enter online or by downloading a postal entry form here
After I enter - what then?
We will acknowledge receipt of your entry within 10 days of online submission or postal delivery. Please contact the Race Hotline on 0845 2700 166 or e-mail run.glasgow@csglasgow.org if you have not received confirmation in this time.
Can I enter as part of a team?
Team entries are welcome. View this page for information on entering as a team.
Is there a limit on entry?
There is no limit for entry to this years event.
I'm coming from abroad - how do I get my race pack?
Please ensure your full postal address and contact details are included in your entry submission. The address you provide will be used to post your race pack to you. For enquiries relating to overseas entrants please e-mail the race hotline run.glasgow@csglasgow.org.
