Our Network Sessions are our regular sessions, running year round. These sessions do not need to be pre-booked.  Just turn up and inform the coaches if you are new to the group.

If you want to see real benefits from your running we recommend running with a group at least 3 times a week – with regularity and commitment you will enjoy the exercise and progress quickly!

Levels of Sessions  

General Network Groups


With the exception of our beginners and refreshers sessions, you should be able to run a minimum of 3 miles without stopping to join our network groups.  These groups run between 3 and 6 miles with a cut-off option of approximately 3 miles.  Sessions may also incorporate some speed work. Our coaches split themselves throughout the front, middle and back of each group to cater for different paces within the groups therefore the speed you run at is not important! Our Saturday morning sessions run between 6 and 10 miles and also incorporate speed sessions e.g. fartlek, intervals and hill training.  Our Friday night session at Bellahouston consists of weekly speed work e.g. intervals/fartlek/hills.

Refreshers

We have two year round "refreshers groups" for those of you who can currently jog for 15-20 minutes without stopping or who have missed some sessions and wish to build back up to the 3 miles required for the general network sessions.

 Glasgow Club Members

You can now add a monthly fee to your direct debit (£4/£3 concession) to include a Running Network membership.   If you pay your membership in one lump sum you can also pay an additional £45/£35 concession for a Running Network membership.  Contact your local Glasgow Club Leisure Centre for more information.
