Marathon Training 2012

16 week course includes:

1 x weekly long run gradually building in distance.
2-4 x weekly network sessions, various days and times. Our coaches will arrange sessions to suit you.
Full training programme.

Fully qualified and experienced coaches.

Criteria for joining:

Able to run for approximately 1 hour without stopping (this course starts at 6 miles).
Able to run 10k in approximately 65 mins or less or a half marathon in 2 hours 15 minutes or less.

Additional 2-4 sessions a week will fit in with existing network groups. The coaches will arrange this with you individually so you are not restricted to a particular venue/day. You will be given a training programme with suggestions of the appropriate sessions to complete.

Transport

If you don’t have transport we will arrange this between those who do drive within the group so everyone gets to the correct venue for the Saturday long runs.

Week 1: Saturday 4th February

This will take the form of an introduction and welcome to the training group. Details of venues, routes etc will be explained and, hopefully, any questions you might have will be answered. This will be followed by a 6 mile run so don’t forget your running kit.


This marathon training group is designed to help provide the support and motivation of training with a group, along with an appropriate training programme and advice. There will be 2-3 coaches who will spread themselves between the front, middle and back of the group, however we would encourage you to run alongside others of a similar pace within the group for your safety, enjoyment and motivation.

Pay by cash, card or cheque in person at the address below.

To secure your place you can pay a £10 deposit and pay the outstanding balance by Monday 16th January.
