First Time Runners
First Time Runner? You’re not alone!
If you are running the Resolution Asset Management Women’s 10k for the first time, then congratulations!
You’re in good company, 46% of runners in 2007 ran the race for the first time! An expected 14,000 women of all ages and abilities will join an elite field of athletes on Sunday 18th May in Glasgow to take part in the annual Resolution Asset Management Women’s 10k – the most successful women’s only 10k race in the UK.
The health benefits of running and physical exercise are well known and each year more and more women catch the running bug and reap the rewards of training and running the 10k. There were just 800 runners in the first women only run organised by the council in 1993.
Over 110,000 women have taken part since the first race and charities have also benefited from charity runners.
Did you know your entry fee not only gains you entry but you also receive a fantastic race t-shirt before the event and a high quality medal and goody bag on completing the run.
