First Time Runner? You’re not alone!
If you are running the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k for the first time, then congratulations!
Nearly half of the runners in the 2008 event were first timers just like you and they enjoyed every minute of this fantastic women-only race. Savour the atmosphere, excitement and noise as over 12,000 women of all ages join together to tackle the course around Glasgow. Taking place on Sunday 10th May 2009 the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k race is the most successful women's only 10k race in the UK and you will be a part of it.
Since the very first race in 1993 over 120,000 women have taken part and many of them have helped raise millions of pounds for charities and good causes. Every year more and more women are recognising the benefits of starting to run, jog or walk in the build up to the Women's 10k. But if you haven't run before don't worry as this website will give you all the information you need to help prepare for the event.
