Volunteers

The Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k needs people like you and community groups!

If you or your club/group is/are interested in acting as a Race Volunteer then please get in touch with us by either telephone on 0141 302 2845 or by e-mail events@csglasgow.org or by completing this enquiry form.

Volunteers are currently required to assist on the route, if you are interested please get in touch.

Route Stewards

The primary task of a route steward is to minimize the risk to injury to the public, competitors and event personnel.

This involves:
If necessary explaining to the public the reason they are being held up, that it will be for a short period, and that they will be able to continue as soon as it is safe to do so.
Indicating the direction and assisting with the flow of the event if necessary.
Remaining in the allocated position for the duration of the event, unless directed to move by an event supervisor.
Assisting in the placing of temporary signs, cones or barriers, and ensuring that no sign is removed until after the event.
and, if necessary assisting with access for emergency services to incidents on, or adjacent to, the course that may not be connected to the event.

Your services will be required from 08.00hrs till approximately 14.30hrs and we will provide you with full briefing details nearer the day of the event.
